OMNICHROMA FLOW BULK is a low viscosity, light-curing, radiopaque composite that offers infinite shade matching – from A1 to D4 with in-depth curing – a single bulk-fill flowable for all shades. OMNICHROMA FLOW BULK can be applied in larger layer thicknesses for deeper cavities – without an additional capping layer.

After OMNICHROMA and OMNICHROMA FLOW, colours from OMNICHROMA FLOW BULK are also created not by added pigments, but by deliberately created structural colours combined with the reﬂexion of the surrounding real tooth colour. Once again it shows how “smart” the Smart Chromatic Technology and the patented spherical fillers really are: Thanks to the controlled shape and size of the unique fillers, OMNICHROMA creates colour through light. Without artificial colour pigments, structural colour provides a infinite shade match from A1-D4. And with the new OMNICHROMA FLOW BULK, ultra-strong in-depth curing is added, optimal mechanical resilience for large cavities without an additional capping layer.

OMNICHROMA in comparison: Optimal resilience without additional capping layer

OMNICHROMA FLOW BULK does not have to fear any comparison with pasty materials. With identical colour properties and comparable material characteristics, the new viscosity still gives the user all options.

OMNICHROMA FLOW BULK is characterised by high compressive strength and low polymerisation shrinkage. The combination of spherical fillers and round composite fillers creates a highly filled structure, which at the same time only generates a low stress level during curing thanks to the spherical nature of the fillers. In this way, no additional capping layer is required for an optimally resilient result in the posterior region.

Compressive strength

Pasty materials are generally considered stronger and more resilient due to their more solid consistency. However, the new OMNICHROMA FLOW BULK proves that flowable composites can still be resilient and withstand all the demands of everyday life. Strong, even under pressure and stress.

Polymerisation shrinkage

Pasty materials have a higher filler content than flowable composites, resulting in lower polymerisation shrinkage. OMNICHROMA FLOW BULK nevertheless has a high filler content for a flow material (69% weight / 55% volume), so that the polymerisation shrinkage is only slightly higher than for pasty materials, but significantly lower than for conventional flow and bulk-fill composites.

Fillers

Just as with the pasty OMNICHROMA and the flowable OMNICHROMA FLOW, the fillers of the new OMNICHROMA FLOW BULK consist of size- and shape-controlled supra-nano particles (260nm). However, conventional composites, whether pasty or flowable, usually contain only irregularly crushed or ground glass particles. Nevertheless, control over the spherical filler particles is essential for Smart Chromatic Technology and the creation of structural colour – colour through light. This is because only controlled filler particles enable controlled refraction of light.
